Montserrat, Spain

It’s been a while again! Time for some updates. In April 2024 we had the pleasure to visit my cousin and his family in Spain. We stayed there for a week and explored the area around Barcelona. One thing that we wanted to see, was the Montserrat Monastery. What an incredible and beautiful place to visit. It was pretty calm when we were there. Making our trip even better. Stunning views everywhere. There are several ways to get up the mountain. But we choose to take the little train. Adding to the excitement when slowly crawling up that mountain. What a spectacular day!

Discovering the Medes Islands by Boat

This makes it possible to see under water (only took some iPhone shots there) and have a look at the flora and fauna. The whole trip took about 1,5 hours and a strong stomach helps. 🙂

We arrived on Thursday afternoon and decided to visit Girona on Friday. The Catalonia independence situation luckily didn’t cause any problems.
